gammu.org - some period is closed
Submitted by marcin on Wed 02 Jun 2010Like promised I have closed gammu.org in current form.
Started 1 April 2005 under gammu.net address, in April 2006 was moved into current domain (gammu.org).
First in the form of static pages, later created using MediaWiki.
I was publishing there some non GSM texts too, tried to make some phone database with info about firmware changes, versions, pictures....
Big shame, but don't worry...
What next ?

Nokia top model N900 sales below 100,000 & Microsoft: 30 Million Windows Phone 7 devices will be sold by the end of 2011
Submitted by marcin on Sat 29 May 2010Two interesting articles from last time: Microsoft: 30 Million Windows Phone 7 devices will be sold by the end of 2011 and Nokia top model N900 sales below 100,000: Gartner
My answer: first is system, which will probably not have many features known from competitors. Second is system, which was not supported correctly by own manufacturer. How could you think, that they could be successful ?

gammu.org reorganization
Submitted by marcin on Sun 28 Mar 2010As you probably know, I'm hosting some content (articles, materials, etc.) on the gammu.org. Some time ago I have decided, that it's not updated from longer time and additionally MediaWiki is not developed too much. I have decided to make some reorganization:
- moving all non-GSM content to the mwiacek.com (this page)
- moving some GSM content to the wammu.eu and some to the mwiacek.com (like blog entries)

Report 2009-12-28
Submitted by marcin on Mon 28 Dec 2009Few words from me... We're ending 2009 year. Some summary, plans and similar.
I was thinking a lot about developing for Maemo 5 (Nokia N900) platform. Unfortunately, in my opinion this is wasting time in this moment (or at least I can't pay for it in 100% from my money).

N82 review (2008)
Submitted by marcin on Tue 29 Jul 2008In many places you can read about about excellent features of Symbian devices. This article will show some their advantages and disadvantages in normal life on N82 example... In many places I will speak about iPhone and other too...
Battery
The more advanced phone, the shortest battery life. This is how we can describe devices created by Nokia and many other manufacturers. My question is: can't be created and produced for example 1600 mAh batteries (like in PDA) for them ?
