Jakiś czas temu napisałem proste narzędzie APN do ustawiania APNów używanego przeze mnie operatora MVNO. Przy jego pisaniu wyszło na jaw, że w systemie Android podobne operacje wykonywane są bezpośrednio na niezbyt udokumentowanej bazie danych.

Z przyjemnością mogę powiedzieć, że narzędzie zostało uaktualnione o kolejnych operatorów i ma w sobie teraz APNy i ustawienia Plus, mBank mobile, T-Mobile.pl, Play, Aero2. Mogę go także uaktualnić o dane kolejnych sieci.

There were many formats of documents created over years, ISTQB provides own glossary in PDF format. I decided to convert it some time ago to form of Android application: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mwiacek.istqb.glossary. You can search topics, jump to related topics, etc. Small, fast, effective.

Chwilę temu pisałem o pułapkach ADSL w Polsce, teraz kontynuacja...

Generalnie rzecz biorąc operatorzy świadczą takie usługi na swoich łączach (np. Netia mówi wtedy o technologii "CU") albo łączach Telekomunikacji Polskiej S.A. (i tu może się pojawić kilka skrótów oznaczających odpowiednio technologie/sposób rozliczeń dla telefonu i właśnie ADSL: "LLU", "BSA", "WLR")

Pomyślałem, że zrobię krótkie orientacyjne podsumowanie dotyczące Galaxy S4 mini (po kilku zabawach na dostępnym czasowo egzemplarzu) i jego porównanie do S1. Wpierw cyferki (stare dane pobrane z tekstu z 2010):

Jak może wyglądać Warszawa wkrótce po wojnie nuklearnej? Co dzieje się w II linii Metra, na Stadionie Narodowym i w innych miejscach dawnej stolicy? Czy największym problemem były i są potwory? Z jakimi problemami borykają się mieszkańcy? Czy wojna nauczyła czegoś ludzi? Była ona tą najważniejszą w historii?

I was playing today with latest PC Suite from Nokia (6.83) and NSU. I decided to write few words about it...

Installer: 23 MB, on HDD the same... It looks nice (better than earlier versions), but doesn't have too many functions and in many places you have info about DRM only (for example: why the hell does it read standard phone applets and waste user time, when few seconds later speak, that it's DRM protected ?). And in license you have a lot of info, what you can't with it...

I would like to speak shortly about differences between Gammu and Gammu+ now. This will be linked from main page. This is my opinion and you don't have to agree with it...

First Gammu - released with GPL2 license is currently lead by Michal. Quite big and supporting many devices. You can have worse support in Windows than earlier and I don't like some things inside, but development goes forward. Michal will give probably also less for Nokia devices than I.

In the time, when we have various widely commented things on the world (Olimpic Games in China, ACTA regulations about ending P2P, Microsoft Windows Vista), Gammu history still can continue (although it's difficult - see info here) and continues.

Today there was released new release 0.40 for Gammu+. It brings new important features:

Niewątpliwie Linux jest systemem z wieloma zaletami. Często może jednak zajść potrzeba skorzystania z "okienek" Microsoftu, ponieważ tylko tam dostępna jest aplikacja z potrzebną nam funkcją. Wielu użytkowników zadaje sobie wtedy pytanie: czy autor nie mógł jej tak napisać, aby była dostępna również dla Linuxa ?

Android jest wbrew pozorom czasem dosyć prostym w budowie systemem, w którym nie uwzględniono różnych rzeczy. I tak po zmianie karty SIM ustawiane są APNy danego operatora, problem jednak powstaje gdy dane te są nieaktualne albo gdy użyjemy karty tzw. operatora wirtualnego obsługiwanego przez tego operatora (dostaniemy bowiem dane operatora macierzystego).
