Content moved from gammu.org blog I was playing today with latest PC Suite from Nokia (6.83) and NSU. I decided to write few words about it... Installer: 23 MB, on HDD the same... It looks nice (better than earlier versions), but doesn't have too many functions and in many places you have info about DRM only (for example: why the hell does it read standard phone applets and waste user time, when few seconds later speak, that it's DRM protected ?). And in license you have a lot of info, what you can't with it... » Read more | 11029 reads |

These are my random thoughts about MS Windows for x86... IMHO, we can speak about few time periods: 1992 - Windows 3.1 (Janus). Only protected mode, new: True Type fonts 1993 - Windows 3.11. APM Summary: 16-bit time. Microsoft cooperated with IBM and there was OS/2 created during this time. First tries of making graphic subsystem (there was DirectX from it created). There were first network releases (Windows for WorkGroups). English » Read more | 13684 reads |

Content moved from gammu.org blog Gammu 1.09.15 is out. Mainly fixes, but added experimental Motorola source too... Gammu+ 0.16.00 is out. Many changes including getting SMS from single folders, getting MMS (decoder is not complete in some parts like decoding MMS subfiles headers or doesn't have DRM, but even now it works much better than in Gammu), faster phonebook/SMS/MMS/filesystem operations (it has cache).
